This lecture examines the early life and formative training of Lee Alexander McQueen (1969–1990), covering his upbringing in south-east London, apprenticeships at Anderson & Sheppard and Gieves & Hawkes on Savile Row, work with Berman & Nathan, experience in Milan under Romeo Gigli, and his return to London prior to enrolling at Central Saint Martins.
